Geri Amori, PhD, ARM, DFASHRM, CPHRM
Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute

Geri Amori is the senior director of Education Center for the Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute. A respected leader in the presentation of risk management issues, Dr. Amori is past president of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and also of the Northern New England Society for Healthcare Risk Management. She was awarded the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management certification and is a Distinguished Fellow with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management. Dr. Amori promotes development of risk management skills in administrators, workers and consumers through seminars, workshops and consultations. Her presentations feature role play, interactive dialogue and group involvement activities designed to teach effective communication. She presents, teaches, coaches and facilitates programs about risk management and patient safety issues on a national basis. She is an active member of the National Speaker’s Association, a member at large of the board of the Northern New England Society for Healthcare Risk Management, a member of the Consumers Advancing Patient Safety board of directors, an advisor to Partnership for Patient Safety, and a lifetime member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Pamela L. Popp, MA, JD, DFASHRM, CPHRM, AIM
Western Litigation, Inc.

Pamela L. Popp is the vice president of Western Litigation, Inc. She received her J.D. from St. Louis University and her M.A. in health system management/legal studies from Webster University, and is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois. She was awarded the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management Certification and is a Distinguished Fellow with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Throughout her career, Ms. Popp has been involved in risk management organizations at the local, state and national level. She served as the President of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management in 2005, as well as a two-year term as the President of the American Hospital Association’s Certification Center, which administers various certification programs including the CPHRM. She recently joined the Board of Directors for the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.
